Plans are underway for yet another successful Camellia City seasonal event as Main Street’s Nancy Idland and ‘company’ gear up for Oktoberfest.

This year the family-oriented festival, a perennial fall favorite in the area, is slated for Saturday, October 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Greenville’s Confederate Park.

&uot;We will have all our ‘old favorites’ back, with fun for all ages.

Magic shows, children’s crafts activities, cowboy trick roping, face painting, caricatures drawn on the spot and much more are on tap…and these activities are all FREE,&uot; emphasizes Idland, adding, &uot;We will also have plenty of food concessions on hand for any hungry Oktoberfest visitors.&uot;

There is still a need for vendors who would like to display their wares or demonstrate a great new product or service at the event.

&uot;There is no charge to Main Street members for booths, and non-members can come out and participate for a fee of only $25,&uot; notes Idland.

&uot;If you are new

[business owner] to our area, this would be a great chance to meet the public and show off your product,&uot; Idland says.

Main Street’s executive director also wants to put out a call for those who can ably pick a guitar, dance a jig or carry a delightful tune.

&uot;If you want to share your talents with the crowd at this year’s Oktoberfest…then let us hear from you so we can put you on our entertainment schedule,&uot; Idland urges.
