Hope Hull was filled with smiles Tuesday as public officials, representatives of Hyundai and many others filled two large tents near Interstate 65 to welcome Hyundai Automotive Company to Alabama.

Alabama's workforce is the chosen one, and it is definite the Korean car manufacturer will not be disappointed by Alabama's skilled workers.

This is going to be one incredible partnership.

We have a lot to learn from one another and Alabama citizens are welcoming the experience of working hard for the Hyundai Corporation. On the other hand, one representative of Hyundai said, "This has been a very exciting day. We love the people of Alabama."

There were several comments throughout the day about the southern hospitality that has been shown to our new Hyundai family members, and it is obvious, that they, too, know the true meaning of southern hospitality and family. At the end of the groundbreaking ceremony, the corporation presented two checks to Gov. Don Siegelman, each in the amount of $250,000, in support of education in Alabama.

Already, these visitors have become a part of the Alabama family, and their graciousness to Alabama residents is one that will not be forgotten.

Welcome home, Hyundai.
