The Greenville High Lady Softball team fell to the Stanhope Lady Mustangs Monday afternoon, with the Lady Stangs coming out on top, 11-6.

Lakyn Newton pitched the entire game and batted 2 for 4 with a double, two RBI's and one run scored. Amanda Wright batted 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored while Velecia McKee batted 2 for 4 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored.

The Lady Tigers led 6-5 until the sixth inning, when three costly errors allowed Stanhope to take the lead.

The GHS Ladies will host the Luverne Lady Tigers Monday at 4 p.m.
