Fort Dale Eagles defeat Hooper, 3-0

Friday Fort Dale went to Hope Hull to pounce Hooper 3-0.

With the win, Fort Dale improved to 2-0, while Hooper fell to 1-1.

a 21-yard field goal kick to land the only score of the game, making it 3-0. The field goal followed a six-play, 64-yd. Drive.

Ryan Landwehr carried the ball 19 times, for 107 yards and ran the ball for 52 yards which resulted in the field goal.

Joseph Ryan carried the ball five times for 45 yards while Quarterback Josh Till carried the ball eight times for a total of 35 yards. He went one for seven in passing.

The defense was led by Digger Kimbro with 14 tackles with Danield Branum following close behind with 11 tackles and Evan Brock with nine.

An interception at the end of the game by Josh Till saved the Eagles. Joey Hambric also had an interception and Joseph Ryan had a fumble recovery.

Hooper’s offense ran the ball 27 times but only gained 25 yards as Fort Dale held them back. Hooper had 74 yards total offense with 25 rushing and 52 passing.

Fort Dale will face Faith Academy in Mobile next Friday.
