In a game that was almost all Fort Dale, the Lady Eagles hosted, and defeated the Lady Leopards of Mobile Christian Academy Saturday evening, with the final score ending up FDA 57, MCA 41.

In the first period, The Lady Eagles outscored MCA by more than two-to-one, racking up 15 points, to the Lady Leopards' 7.

It was the same in the second period, as FDA scored 20 points to the nine of MCA, making the score at the half Lady Eagles 35, Lady Leopards 16.

After the halftime break, it was fairly equal, with FDA scoring 16 to MCA's 15, making the three-period-score Lady Eagles 51, Lady Leopards 31.

The fourth period was the only one that went to Mobile Christian, with their score of 10 points, to FDA's 6.

But that was just not enough, and the final score was Fort Dale 57, Mobile Christian 41. It was just a case of the tougher team triumphing.

The one area that MCA was clearly dominant in, though, was shouting at the opponent. More than one FDA player had a look of dismay on their face, when up against one of MCA's players, who, when she could not block the shot or pass with her arms, tried to do so by yelling out at the Lay Eagle she faced, usually to no avail.

The top scorer for the Lady Eagles was Ashley Paulk, who scored 20 points, including three three-point field goals. She also got credit for eight rebounds.

Close behind Paulk was Meredith Mosely, scoring 17 points, including making five of eight free throws. Moseley was credited with seven rebounds.

Lacey Adams was also a big scorer, making 11 points.

The top scorers for Mobile Christian Academy were Robin Cox with 12 points, Lauren Englund with eight and Jessica Walters with seven.

The Lady Eagles will be on the road to face Lowndes Academy on Jan. 12, then Meadowview Christian Academy on Jan. 12.
