Heavy vote turnout means a lot

Voters in Butler County turned out in droves for the June 6 primary although statewide less than 30 percent participation was expected. Most of the races meant very little to us here, but some meant a lot.

It means a lot for the citizens of Butler County that so many of us have decided to take part in the democratic process here. It means there are issues facing the county that many of us care about, and it means that the voters here care whose running our government. We congratulate the voters of Butler County for turning out in large numbers. The system only works when

we all participate.
