A Greenville man was discovered dead inside his vehicle last week and police are currently investigating the cause of the death.

Warren Alfred Parsons, a 39 year-old male of 150 Wagon Wheel Road. in Greenville, was discovered by two local men lying in the seat of his 1979 Ford truck on West Adams Street at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

According to the police report, witnesses said that Parsons had been asked to leave a local bar after he was found inside the women's restroom. When employees of the bar left at approximately 4 a.m., they noticed that the victim's truck was running, but did not see anyone inside.

When one of

the witnesses returned at approximately 11:30 a.m. he noticed the truck was still parked on West Adams Street, but this time the truck was not running.

Later that afternoon, at approximately 2:15, the witness and another employee at the business went to check on the truck. The two men told police they found Parsons laying in the seat of the vehicle and the radio was on. One of the two men checked for the victim's pulse, but were unable to detect one.

At that time the two men called the paramedics. Wayne Garlock, the county coroner, also was called to the scene.

Police reports say the victim's body was removed from the vehicle and taken to Dunklin Herndon Funeral Home. The truck was impounded.

The cause of death is still undertermined, but Police Chief Lonzo Ingram said an autopsy should answer some questions.

"Right now the death is still under investigation," Ingram said. "We have sent the body to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy and we will wait for the results."
