The Butler County Magnet School put up a fight in Sweet Water, but the Bulldogs proved to be too much for the Panthers, winning 46-13.

“The boys played hard, and I was really pleased with their effort,” said head coach Shane Smothers.

Sweet Water led 13-0 after one period, and the score was 26-7 at the half.

Rickey Everett found LaJordan Crittenden for a three-yard touchdown for the score in the second quarter.

Trailing 33-7 in the third quarter, Victor Marshall broke a 75-yard sweep to cut it to 33-13, but the Bulldogs added two more touchdowns to put the game out of reach.

Next week, the Panthers will play host to Coffeeville, which will be Homecoming for BCMS.
