After a weekend of action, the Greenville Dixie Minors All-Stars picked up wins over Luverne and Eufaula in the tournament.

In the first game, Greenville topped Luverne 11-4.

Everyone on the team picked up a hit, but several members had an exceptional day.

Kyler Weeks and Jeffery Tillery both picked up three hits each.

With the game close, Tanner Cartwright came into the game in the fourth inning for Greenville and struck out two batters to end Luverne’s threat.

In the second game of the tournament, Greenville trailed Eufaula 3-1 when several players came through with big hits.

Jimbo Wheeler had a two-RBI double and Jeremy Bedgood followed with another two-RBI double.

“Those hits put us ahead, and we just rolled on in from there,” coach Scott Scoggins said about the 13-4 win.

Markevious Patterson went 3-3 on the day from the plate.

Several players also had a great game from the field, including Chase Mansmann, who threw out a runner at second base to end the game, and Brandon White, who pitched two shutout innings for Greenville.
