After a hot start against Opp, the Greenville Dixie Majors All-Stars cooled off and Opp claimed a 7-3 win.

Both teams scored a run in the first inning, and Greenville’s came courtesy of Kevin Brogden.

Brogden had a single and worked his way around the bases to score on a hit by Chris Shows.

In the second inning, Greenville put two runs on the board after Brandon Croley and Hunter Smith got on board with singles.

Brogden came through with a hit and two RBIs for Greenville.

However, Opp scored three runs in the bottom of the inning and never looked back, adding two more in the third and one in the fourth.

The loss was Greenville’s second of the tournament and ended their championship hopes.
