GMS teacher charged for resisting arrest

A recent late-night cab ride home ended in a trip to jail for a Greenville Middle School teacher.

William B. Duncan, 44, of Greenville was allegedly intoxicated and getting a cab ride home on Nov. 17 when the cab driver called police and asked them to follow him to Duncan’s home.

After arriving at his residence, Duncan allegedly became belligerent and abusive toward law enforcement.

He resisted arrest and had to be tased before being taken to the Butler County Jail, according to Greenville police.

Duncan was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, said police.
