Greenville teenager killed in wreck

A Greenville High School student was killed in a one-car accident on Tuesday night, according to Alabama State Troopers.
Brittany Danielle McCormick
Troopers said Brittany Danielle McCormick, 16, died in an accident that occurred approximately 10 miles east of Greenville on County Road 50 in Crenshaw County. The accident occurred at 9:30 p.m.
Notified of the wreck on Wednesday morning, GHS Principal Dr. Charles Farmer said McCormick’s death was heartbreaking.
“It’s sad and unfortunate when anyone dies at a young age, especially for the ones she leaves behind,” said Farmer. “When we come back to school on Monday there is going to be a healing process we’re going to have to go through as a school. This grounds you and brings you back to reality.”
GHS has been on Spring Break this week.

To the family and friends of this beautiful child. My heart aches to all of you and my prayers will be with you always. AllMost a year ago also my child was called home to be with her heavenly father. Not a day goes by that we will not think about them. God has a plan for each of us and we will not ever understand while on this earth why some have been call home by him so soon. We cherish each memory and most of all, thank God for the time we had with them. I pray that God to Cary you as he has me. Without him I truely believe I would not have made It. To the family of Brittany my prayers are with you. It has been three years since Danny died and I know the pain you are going through i live with it every day. ifyou need someone to talk to or a shoulder to cry on please contact me. My heart breaks for you and your family no parent should ever have to bury their child but i do believe that God does have a plan for us. Please when you think of Brittany try to hold on to the good memorys the ones that make you smile. And yes it is okay to smile and even laugh when you think of her. Becouse she was a beautiful piece of your life as Danny was of ours......... Think of her as another angel that we have waiting on us in heaven.....
