SPECIAL TO THE ADVOCATE

Today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders. The National Wild Turkey Federation knows that helping young people pursue their education and achieve their goals is an important step toward having leaders to conserve our nation’s land, water and wildlife resources in the future.

The NWTF makes more than $500,000 in scholarships available to high school seniors each year.

Students compete for NWTF-sponsored scholarships at local, state and national levels. All students receiving local scholarships for $250 will have the opportunity to compete for a state/provincial chapter-funded scholarship worth up to $1,000. State/provincial chapter winners will qualify to compete for a national scholarship valued at up to $10,000.

NWTF scholarships are part of the NWTF’s Five-Star program. Applicants for the scholarship must be members of the NWTF and are judged on their scholastic achievements, leadership abilities, community involvement and commitment to conservation and the preservation of our hunting heritage. The application deadline is January 1. For more information on the scholarship program, contact the scholarship coordinator at the Wild Turkey Center by calling (800) THE-NWTF or emailing scholarshipinfo@nwtf.net.
