YMCA_T-Ball Registration

The Greenville YMCA continues to hold 3-4 Year Old T-Ball Registration from now to April 12. Open to boys and girls ages 3-4. Games will be played from May 10 to June 14. All games will be played on Saturday mornings. Please contact the Greenville YMCA for more information at 334-382-0550.

Friendship Holy Week Services

Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Georgiana, the Rev. O.J. Meeks, pastor, will hold Holy Week services at 7 p.m. March 20 and 21. Everyone is welcome.

Ribbon Cutting at El Rodeo

The Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at El Rodeo at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20.

Arbor Day Celebration in G'ana

The Georgiana Garden Club is planning an Arbor Day Celebration at 2 p.m., March 20 at the Georgiana Log Cabin, behind the community center. The patriotic-themed service will be honoring our servicemen. Refreshments will be served afterwards and everyone is invited to attend.

Good Friday Service at Providence

The Providence United Methodist Church and pastor Dana Miller invites everyone to the Good Friday service at 7 p.m. March 21, 2008. The church is located nine miles northwest of Georgiana on Starlington Road.

Community Easter Egg Hunt

The Georgiana Children's Depot Youth Center will hold an Easter egg hunt from 9 a.m. until on March 21 at the Housing Road, Park Hwy 31 South in Georgiana. Children of all ages are invited.

Good Friday Service at Shiloh

A Good Friday service is set for 7 p.m. March 21 at Shiloh Baptist Church on Ridge Road. Guest speaker will be pastor Felton Stewart of Greenville Church of God. Everyone is welcome!

Miss GHS Pageant

The Miss Greenville High School Pageant is slated for 6 p.m., Saturday, March 22, at the GHS Auditorium. Advance tickets are available for just $4 through the front office. Tickets will be $5 at the door. Come out and support your Tiger lovelies!

Ebenezer East Sunrise service

Ebenezer East Baptist Church, located on Halso Mill Road, Greenville, will celebrate Easter with a sunrise service slated for 6:30 a.m., March 23, followed by Sunday School at 8 a.m. and morning worship at 9 a.m. Everyone is welcome to join us for the Easter celebration.

Spring Revival at Liberty

Liberty Baptist Church invites you to its spring revival at 7 p.m. Monday March 24 through March 26. The Rev. Ronnie Boulware will be the guest speaker .

Free Financial Seminar

Free financial education seminars are offered by the South Alabama Christian Education Department. Seminars range in subject from how to balance a checkbook to planning for retirement for all ages from children through senior citizens. The event is slated for 10 a.m. to noon at Belleville Faulk AME Zion Church on Saturday, March 29.

YMCA Relay Boston Butt Sale

The Greenville YMCA is selling Boston butts prepared by James Tillery for $25 to be picked up April 4. Tickets are available at the Y or can be delivered to you to town. Contact Diane Burkett at the Y at 382-0550 for more information. All proceeds go to ACS Relay For Life!

The Greenville YMCA will hold Soccer Closing Ceremonies and Healthy Kids Day from 9 a.m. to noon on April 12. There is no admission and the entire family is invited. Games, Inflatable's, and much more!!

First United Methodist Church will hold a cake auction at 6 p.m. on April 16 at the church. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Butler County. Thanks for your support!

Patriotic event seeks vendors

The Family Readiness Group seeks arts and crafts vendors to be part of the "Salute A Soldier Day" slated for April 19 in Georgiana. YMCA Ballroom Dancing

The Greenville YMCA is registering now a Ballroom Dancing beginning March 4 which is open to all ages; a partner is required to be part of the class. For more info, contact Dawn or Amanda at the Greenville Y at 334-382-0550.

Community Classes

The March Community Classes offered at the Butler County Education and Community Learning Center are: Tool School 101 for Women; Selling and Buying on eBay; Boater Certification; Menu Planning for Weight Loss II and Basic Computer Training.

HAM Radio meetings

Anyone who is interested in obtaining an amateur radio or HAM license, please contact the Jim Bell Wireless Association at 334-227-4726.
