Emily Helen Bates and Jeremy Duncan Wiggins announced their engagement, with a wedding to take place on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Applewood Farm in Pell City, Ala.

Mr. & Mrs. Ronald Kyle Bates of Warrior, Alabama are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Emily Helen Bates, to Jeremy Duncan Wiggins, son of Mr. & Mrs. Barney Kiplon (Kip & Rita) Wiggins of Andalusia, Alabama.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Helen Jolly and the late Mr. Oscar Dean Jolly of Warrior, Ala., and the late Mr. & Mrs. Fred Bates of Mobile, Ala.

Emily is a graduate from Gardendale High School and from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and is employed with Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Ala.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. & Mr. William Edward Duncan of Greenville, Ala., and Mr. & Mrs. Walter Hinton Wiggins of Andalusia, Ala.

Jeremy is a graduate from Andalusia High School and from the University of Alabama with a BS degree in environmental science and is employed with Thompson Engineering, Inc. in Mobile, Ala.

The wedding will take place Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Applewood Farm in Pell City, Ala.
