Lee Earnest Simpson Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Lee Earnest Simpson Sr. will be held on Saturday, July 25 at noon from Lomax Hannon Auditorium, with Rev. Isaiah Posey serving officiating minister. Burial will follow in Oak Valley churchyard cemetery. Hudson Funeral Services of Greenville, Ala., will be directing.

Simpson was born on May 15, 1932 to the late Jim and Annie Bell Simpson. At an early age he accepted Christ as his personal savior and joined Oak Valley Baptist, where he was a faithful member and Deacon until his health began to decline. Simpson was an employee with Rocky Creek Logging Company for many years until retiring.

sisters and a daughter-in-law, Tracey. Simpson was called to rest on Saturday, July 18 at Jackson Hospital, in Montgomery, Ala.

Simpson met and married the late Lorene Simpson and to this union seven beautiful children were born: Edna (Sylvester) Ashford, Shirley (Knot) Lett, Sylvia Simpson and Bobby Simpson, all of Gadsden, Ala.; and Lee E. Simpson Jr. and Robert Simpson, both of Greenville. Later in life he met and formed a relationship with Ms. Odie Posey and four beautiful children were born: Annie (Anthony) Posey and Systemtric Posey, both of Forest Home, Ala.; Tracey (Joshua) Coleman of Greenville and Clifton Posey of Montgomery. He leaves a loving and devoted sister, Edith Thomas of Greenville; 26 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and three extended family members, Jacqueline (Ray) Dun, Emily

(Lavon)  Bradley and David Posey, a host of nieces, including the devoted Mary

Thomas, a devoted nephew, Calvin Anderson, and cousins and friends.
