Pensacola man arrested on drug charges after traffic stop

A Pensacola man faces two charges of trafficking a controlled substance after a State Trooper stopped his vehicle Wednesday for having no tag and, after smelling spice, found a variety of illegal drugs in the car, according to officials with the Second Judicial Drug Task Force.

Michael Sean Grizzard was arrested near mile marker 117 on Interstate 65 at approximately 4 a.m.

“The trooper saw evidence of a meth lab in the car, and he contacted the Drug Task Force,” Butler County Sheriff Kenny Harden said.

After searching the vehicle, authorities discovered 67 grams of spice or synthetic marijuana, methamphetamine, ingredients for producing methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia.

According to authorities, Grizzard will be charged with two counts of trafficking a controlled substance, two counts of manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
