Popcorn, cotton candy, games, a ferris wheel and more have come to town for the YMCA Carnival fundraiser.  The festivities kicked off Tuesday and will be in full swing until Saturday at the fairgrounds.

The event is sponsored by the Greenville YMCA.  Executive director Tina Caver said that the carnival is the YMCA’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

“This is the first time that we’ve hosted something like this,” Caver said.  “If it’s successful, we will make it an annual event.”
