Kenneth Ray Hendrix

Mr. Kenneth Ray Hendrix, 59, a resident of Brantley, died Wed., Feb. 18, 2015.

Private memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.

Mr. Hendrix is preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. and Verla Clodean Burgins Hendrix.

Survivors include his son, Jeffrey Allen Hendrix; and two brothers, Ronald W. Hendrix and Ralph David Hendrix.

 

Robert Ray Moore

Robert Ray Moore, 73, a resident of Lapine, died Tues., Feb. 24, 2015.

Mr. Moore grew up in Clinchco, Va. but lived in Lapine for the last 42 years of his life. He worked as a meat cutter and butcher for most of his working years.

Funeral services were held on Thurs., Feb. 26, 2015, at Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jack Cates officiating.

Interment followed in Cool Springs Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Alice McKinney Moore; six brothers; and four sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Twinette Sexton Moore; five children, Cheryl (Jeff) Branon, Sherri Farley, Brenda (Willie) Herring, Marie (Jeff) Owens and Ray Moore; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be Hunter Branon, Mark Williams, Steven Williams, Heath Sexton, Kyle Sexton and Andy Burgans.

The family received friends at the funeral home last Thursday.
