Vera Brewer

Vera Brewer 94, a resident of Greenville, died Thurs., Feb. 12, 2015, at Crowne Heath Care. The funeral service will be held today, Sat., Feb. 14, at Pleasant Home Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dale Norris and the Rev. Sandy Smith officiating, and Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Pleasant Home Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the funeral service.

Roy Winston Snead

Roy Winston Snead, 79, a resident of Foley, and a former resident of Greenville, died at Sacred Heart Hospital on Mon., Feb. 9, 2015. The funeral service was held on Thurs., Feb. 12, at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. William Leverette officiating and Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Central Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Olean Stinson Wingard

Olean Stinson Wingard, 87, a resident of McKenzie, passed away on Wed., Feb. 11, 2015. A celebration of life was held at 2 p.m. on Thurs., Feb. 12, at McKenzie Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Stevens officiating. Burial followed in South Butler Cemetery in McKenzie with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing arrangements. A gathering of family and friends was held at the church from 1 p.m. until service time. Survivors include husband, Carl G. Wingard of McKenzie; daughters, Marie Bennett and Becky Kervin, both of McKenzie, and Carleen Viers of Chapman; sons, Allen Wingard, Jerry Wingard, Gary Wingard and Timmy Wingard, all of McKenzie; sisters, Gloria Boutwell, Clois Paige and Wanda Newton, all of Greenville, and Lillian Lee of Chickasaw; brother, Colonel Stinson of McKenzie; 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
