Connie Elizabeth McCann

Connie Elizabeth McCann, age 48, a resident of Millbrook and former resident of Greenville, died on Mon., Nov. 10, 2014, at Baptist Medical Center.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Sat., Nov. 15, at Antioch East Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Boulware officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11 a.m.

Mrs. McCann is survived by her husband, Kenneth David McCann; and sons, Zac McCann of Fairbanks, Ark., Johnathan McCann of Austin, Texas and Sam McCann of Millbrook; sisters, Kathy (Jeff) Brown of Greenville, Laura Maike of Topeka, Kan. and Anita (Mickey) Schultz of Midway, Ga.; brothers, Noel (Nannette) Smith of Birmingham and Michael (Elizabeth) Smith of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Antioch East Baptist Church Building Fund.

Nora Louise Dumas Harvell

Nora Louise Dumas Harvell, also affectionately known as “Mrs. Pete”, “Peaches” or “Momma Pete,” age 84, a resident of Camden, died on Wed., Nov. 12, 2014, at J. Paul Jones Hospital. Funeral Services were held on Fri., Nov. 14, 2014, at Camden Baptist Church with Mr. Don Daniels and Mr. Bill Albritton officiating, and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial followed in Kelly Cemetery.

Mrs. Harvell is preceded in death by her parents, Reuben Frederick and Nora Bell Dumas; husband, Lewis Devan Harvell; daughter, Judith Gail Harvell; brothers, Steven Dumas, Fred Dumas, Dave Dumas and Oscar Dumas. She is survived by her daughter, Susie (Sam) Winters  of Greenville; son, Glenn Harvell; grandchildren, Michael (Erin) Harvell of Pike Road, Laura Susan Harvell of Montgomery, Emory (Becky) Winters of Huntsville and Amy (Jacob) Bohannon of Deatsville, Ala.;, great granddaughter, Charlotte Dean Winters of Huntsville; loving sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews and special friends, Mary Corley (caregiver), Pat and Terry Taylor, Tawny (Wayne) Bohannon, Mattie Pearl Bonham and Leebo Duke; her loving staff at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home, Don and Deborah Daniels, Damon and Brandy Daniels, Benjamin Faulkenberry, Bill Albritton, Ed Weaver, Lee Tanner, Ron Gibson, Derrick Smith, Joshua Booker, and Braxton and Dalton Daniels.

Mrs. Harvell was a longtime member of Camden Baptist Church, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Wilcox Historical Society and a huge fan of the Auburn Tigers.

Marie S. Lee, 76, a resident of Georgiana, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014. Celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Harvill officiating. Burial will follow in New Home Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, Ala., directing arrangements. A gathering Of family and friends will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Ms. Lee is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Lee; daughter, Elizabeth Foster; parents, Virgil and Gladys Smith; sister, Christine Barbaree; brothers, Phillip Smith and Cleveland Smith. Survivors: daughter, Rhonda Bees of Georgiana, Ala.; sisters, Barbara Harsey of Andalusia, Ala., Mary Thames of Pine Orchard, Ala., and Ruby Bender of Selma, Ala.; granddaughter, Kimberlie Black of Evergreen, Ala.; grandsons, Ricky Smith of Andalusia, Ala., Lee Smith of Honoraville, Ala., Matthew Bees of Charleston, S.C., and three great-grandchildren.
