Fresenius Medical Care Camellia was awarded the Center of Excellence designation on Thursday by Fresenius Medical Care North America.

Fresenius Medical Care North America is network of dialysis facilities.

The Center of Excellence designation recognizes Fresenius Medical Care North America’s top-performing dialysis facilities nationwide, based on multiple objective measures of clinical quality.

There are more than 2,150 dialysis facilities in the network.

Fresenius Medical Care evaluates facilities for Center of Excellence recognition by reviewing key patient outcome measures such as dialysis adequacy, control of anemia, nutritional status, patient satisfaction and transplant education.

“At Fresenius Medical Care, our clinical teams are focused on providing patients with the highest quality of care during each and every treatment,” said Debra Meade, senior director of clinical services at Fresenius Medical Care.

“Our Center of Excellence award recognizes the facilities that achieve the very best clinical results through the dedication and hard work of their staff.”

The company’s standards are based on those recommended by the Kidney Disease Outcomes Quality Initiative of the National Kidney Foundation.
