Local hotels receive top honors

The Comfort Inn in Greenville was recently honored with the 2014 Gold Hospitality Award from Choice Hotels International.

The hotel was one of three Comfort Inn Hotels in the state to receive the award from one of the world’s largest hotel companies, Choice Hotels International, Inc.

Each year, only the top hotels in each brand are eligible to receive distinction of a Gold Hospitality Award. As a top performing property among the company’s more than 5,100 U.S. franchised hotels, the Comfort Inn of Greenville is among the top percentage of properties within the Choice Hotel brand.

The Comfort Inn is owned and operated by Bhavesha Patel.  The hotel is also affiliated with Shrinath Hotels Development & Management Group, which is owned by Amit, Parish and Sameer Patel, who also own the Hampton Inn, Best Western, and Holiday Inn Express in Greenville.  Patels’ company, APC Hospitality, LLC, also received the 2014 Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for the Hampton Inn, Best Western and Holiday Inn Express properties.  The accolade is give only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor.
