Mr. Phillip E. Burkett, 63, a resident of Greenville, Ala., died Sunday, March 23, at Noland Hospital in Montgomery, Ala.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25, from the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. Al Freeman officiating. Interment followed at the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Greenville, Ala. with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing services. The family request that only silk arrangements be sent or donations may be made to the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, courtesy of Bobby Jean Gillem of Greenville. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Mamie Burkett; brothers, infant Alvie Bruce Burkett and Ted Daniel Burkett and sister, Mildred Burkett Wallace and son Dale Schofield.
Mr. Burkett is survived by his wife, Sheila Waller Burkett of Greenville; daughters, Gina Morgan (Kenneth) of Forest Home, Ala., and Amanda Dearden (Todd Braden) of Honoraville, Ala.; mother-in-law, Wille Merle Waller of Greenville; grandchildren, Madison Schofield, Dylan Schofield, Andrea Dearden, Evan Dearden, Tamara Shell, Tabatha Acreman and Brannon Morgan; adopted granddaughter, Emma Rutland; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
