A Virginia man is dead following a crash on Interstate 65 Sunday.

Jorge Luis Fuentes, 47, of Richmond, Va., was killed when the 2011 Ford he was driving left the roadway struck a tree eight miles south of Georgiana at approximately 4:45 a.m.

Fuentes was pronounced dead at the scene. Four passengers in his vehicle were injured and transported to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
