Wintry weather has prompted officials with the City of Greenville to close all city offices on Wednesday.

“The City of Greenville is in constant contact with Butler County EMA regarding the ever changing weather predictions for the impending winter storm.  With hourly changes, we are announcing closures based on the current forecast keeping the safety of our employees and citizens in mind,” officials said in a statement released Tuesday afternoon.

The Greenville Senior Nutrition Center, Camellia Senior Center and the Greenville-Butler County Public Library will also be closed Wednesday.

Garbage pickup is cancelled.  Pickup dates for routes that normally run on Tuesday and Wednesday will be announced at a later date.

City officials are encouraging the public to use 911 to report any issues.
