James Edward Smith, 91, a resident of Greenville, died on Dec. 11 at Crowne Health Care of Greenville.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. Wallace Newton officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.  Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Tindal Smith, parents, R. E. and Edith Smith.  He is survived by daughters, Ann S. (Wayne) Thompson of Bay Minette, Ala., Jean S. (Roger) Helms of Ozark, Ala., Betty S. (Gary) Perry of Montgomery, Ala., and Martha S. (James) Vaughn of Remlap, Ala.; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Colter) Day of Bay Minette, Ala., Susan (Darren) Reed of Montgomery, Ala., Shannon (Tim) Schmidt of Coosada, Ala., Allison (Chuck) Houston of Dothan, Ala., Natalie (Jason) Dill of Pelham, Ala., Phillip (Dawn) Perry of Montgomery, Ala., Brian (Kimberly) Perry of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Ashley L. Duet of Brantley, Ala., and Martha Lee (Stacy) Hawkins of Remlap, Ala.; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Frances S.
