Vera Lee Smith, 79, a resident of Greenville, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013 from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Leverette officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Roger R. Smith, son, Danny Smith, and parents, Dewey and Essie Norwood. Survivors include daughter, Dianne (Wayne) Myrick of Greenville, Ala.; sisters, Betty Sue Taylor of Greenville, Ala., Marie Powell of Alex City, Ala., and Doris Sampley of Birmingham, Ala.; brothers, Buddy Norwood of Greenville, Ala., and Albert Norwood and Bennie Norwood, both of Alex City, Ala.; grandchildren, Brandy (Stephen) Norris of Honoraville, Ala., Lynn (Amber) Myrick of Foley, Ala., and Glenn (Jamie) Myrick of Greenville, Ala.; great-grandchildren, Morgan Norris, Alynn Myrick, Albry Myrick, Alden Myrick and Avery Myrick.
