First Lady Dianne Bentley visited Highland Home School on Thursday, October 3. Mrs. Bentley visited primary and elementary classrooms and then read a book titled “Otis the Tractor” to preschool students in Mrs. Tiffany Fussell’s K-4 classroom.  Mrs. Bentley’s visit coincided with the 8th Annual Read for the Record Day that took place in schools, libraries, offices, and homes across the country on October 3, 2013, a day in which millions of young people and adults came together to read the children’s book “Otis the Tractor.” Each preschooler received a copy of the book and an Otis fan.  Mrs. Bentley also discussed Alabama facts with the preschool students as well as with all fourth grade students.
