Melville Fletcher Bennett, a resident of Georgiana, Ala., passed away on Monday, Aug. 12, 2013. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 14,  at 11 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing arrangements. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time. Ms. Bennett is survived by her daughter, Joan Whittle, Georgiana, Ala.; grandson, Fletcher Whittle, Georgiana, Ala.; sister, Katie Hollis, Georgiana, Ala.; and a number of nieces and nephews; honorary friends, Dorothy Hugler, Louise Williams, Pearlie Curry, Barbara Paige, and Comfort Care Nurses.
