Annie Laurie Lowe Smith, 70, of Greenville, Ala., passed away Aug. 11, 2013 at the Medical Center in Columbus, Ga. Mrs. Smith was born in Greenville, Ala., and was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Benjamin Smith, Jr., and her brother, Gillis Clements Lowe.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Aug. 13, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dunklin Daniels Funeral Home in Greenville. Services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 2 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church with pastor Herbert Brown officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home will direct.

She was employed with Allied Bendix for 14 years in Greenville and Colonel Bank and Trust for 11 years in Montgomery.

She is survived by daughters Yvonne Smith Cook (Jeff) of Greenwood, Ind., Michelle Smith Alexander (Doyle) of Dothan, Ala., and Laura Anne Smith Solomons (Ken) of Columbus, Ga.; son Lt. Col. Eugene Benjamin Smith, III (Kelli) of Columbus, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Jonathon Cook, Joshua Cook, Jamie Cook, Ben Smith, Shayne Alexander, Payne Alexander, Ryan Smith, Platt Solomons and Katie Anne Solomons; one great grandchild, Zoey Cook (Jamie).
