John Calvin (J.C.) Sims, 85, a resident of Georgiana, Ala., died Saturday, April 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in Burkett Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn S. Sims, Georgiana, Ala.; daughter, Judy Lowery, Georgiana, Ala.; sons, Max Sims, Denver, N.C., and Jerry Sims, Hazel Green, Ala.; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
