Mr. Gene Alvin Baggett, 69, a resident of Rutledge died Thursday, April 4, 2013.  Funeral services were held April 7 at Chapel Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Joe Bradley and Rev. Blu Braden officiating.  Interment followed in Chapel Hill Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.  Mr. Baggett was preceded in death by his parents, J. D. “Dock” & Era Bell Baggett and brother, Rogers Baggett.  He is survived by his wife of 26 years Dora Baggett; five children, Jeff (Tamera) Baggett, Kimberly (Greg) Davis, Tammy (Bobby) Williamson, Kelly(Ray) Castillo and Timmy (Jennifer) Worley; eleven grandchildren, Cody Godwin, Brandon (Jessica) Boyett, Kimber(Justin) Sessions, Camerena Godwin, Alycia Baggett, Ray Castillo, Justin Williamson, Ashley Baggett, Sara Castillo, Samantha Castillo and Gant Worley; two great grandchildren, Justin Sessions, Jr. and Katelyn Ranta; three sisters, Vera Mae Daniels, Shirley Ann Watts and Mary Jane Hamm; and brother, Randy Baggett.  Active pallbearers were James Boyett, R.P. Burgans, Velpo Waldrope, Jr., Leonard Defee, R.T. Mount and Dusty Jordan.
