William Bradley Sexton, 21, has been arrested and charged with the murder of his grandfather, Pleo Sexton.

The younger Sexton was arrested by the Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Department shortly after lunch on Friday.

The elder Sexton, age 88, was found dead at his home on Sweetwater Road near Highland Home on March 25.

No other details of the case have been released, but the investigation remains open, even after Friday’s arrest and murder charge.

“We want to give a special thanks to the Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences,” said Crenshaw County Investigator Mike Johnson. “They put in a lot of hours and hard work helping us with this.”
