Willodene D. Farrell

Mrs. Willodene D. Farrell of Spanish Fort, Ala., a native of Greenville, Ala., and a graduate of Luverne High School, died unexpectedly Monday, March 18, 2013. Graveside services were held March 21 at Bethlehem Cemetery in Old Texas, Ala., with Rev. Randy Sexton officiating and Johnson Funeral Home, of Georgiana directing. Mrs. Farrell was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. and Mrs. W.T. Davidson of Goshen, Ala., and her husband of 38 years, Louie L. Farrell. Mrs. Farrell is survived by daughter, Frances (Jack) Williams, Spanish Fort, Ala.; son, Charles (Carol) Farrell, Tuscaloosa, Ala.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Farrell moved to Mobile in 1943 after graduating from Troy State Teachers College (Troy University). She worked for the Mobile County Public Schools for 38  years. For many years she taught mathematics at Satsuma High School and she culminated her career by serving as the chair of guidance and counseling at Murphy High School.
