A seven-run second inning powered Lowndes Academy to a 15-0 win over No. 10 Fort Dale Academy Tuesday at the FDA Sportsplex.
It was the Rebels third win over the Eagles in four attempts this season. Lowndes scored a 5-3 win on March 1 and a 9-7 win on March 2, after the Eagles opened the season with a 12-8 win over the Rebels on Feb. 19.
It marks the second game in a row that Fort Dale has surrendered 15 runs. The Eagles dropped a 15-6 decision to Monroe Academy on Monday.
Against the Rebels, Fort Dale managed just one hit in the mercy-rule shortened contest.
Freshman outfielder Maurlan Dickerson was 1-for-1.
Meanwhile, the Eagles surrendered 14 hits to the Rebels.
Chris Cobb took the loss after allowing six runs and seven hits in 1.1 innings of work. He struck out two Rebels.
Dalton Hood allowed one run on three hits in 1.1 innings of work, while Chase Whiddon yielded six hits and six runs in 2.2 innings on the mound.
