Johnnie Perdue Daniels, 86, of Sneads, Fla., passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013, surrounded by family at the home of her daughter.

She was born Nov. 24, 1926, in Crenshaw County, to Minnie Lee and John Austin Perdue. Johnnie had lived in Jackson County, Fla., for the past 63 years – the last 48 of those being spent in Sneads.  She graduated from Highland Home High School in 1945 and married James Franklin Daniels on Dec. 23 of that same year.

She was a homemaker, devoted wife, and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Johnnie’s family was the joy of her life and she delighted in spending time with them. She also enjoyed cooking and working outside in her yard and flowers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sneads, where she taught a pre-school Sunday school class for many years.

Johnnie was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Frank Daniels; her parents, Minnie Lee and John Perdue; a sister, Bernice Perdue; and a brother-in-law, Joe Moses.

Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Faircloth of Sneads, Fla.; one granddaughter, Nicole Trafton and husband Josh of Tallahassee, Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Jonathan Trafton of Tallahassee, Fla.; one brother, Jerry Perdue and wife Sheila of Honoraville, Ala.; one sister, Opal Moses of Montgomery, Ala., and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 16 at the First Baptist Church of Sneads with the Rev. Robert Johns officiating.  Burial will follow at 4 p.m. in the Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Honoraville, Ala., with James and Sikes Funeral Home, Maddox Chapel of Marianna directing.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Sneads, Friday, March 15.
