A nine-run second inning powered Fort Dale Academy to a 10-0 win over Evangel Christian Academy on Thursday at the Fort Dale Sportsplex.

The Eagles won the contest in five innings.

After a scoreless first inning, Fort Dale exploded for nine runs in the second inning, six of which came with two outs. In that inning the Eagles pounded out five hits and had five batters hit by a pitch.

Andy Burns and Austin Vickery each had two RBIs in the inning, while Ryan Burkett also drove in a run.

Blake Harris, Cade Tillery, Chase Whiddon, James Burkett, Ryan Burkett, Vickery and Burns all crossed the plate during the Fort Dale rally.

FDA right-hander Chip Taylor earned the win on the mound.
