Edith Diamond Young, 86, a resident of McKenzie, Ala., passed away on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in McKenzie with Rev. Dwight Vickery and Rev. Robert Watford officiating and Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing the arrangements. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home. Ms. Young is preceded in death by her husband, Almon Leigh Young, and her granddaughter, Amy Rebecca Young Barber. Ms. Young is survived by her daughters, Julia Faye (Billy) Lynch of McKenzie and Martha Virginia (Tommy) Hartley of Evergreen, Ala.; sons, Martin Earle (Loretta) Young of Brooklyn, Ala., Donald Almon (Kate) Young of Montgomery, Ala., and Robert Edward (Charlotte) Young of Eufaula, Ala.; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, two step-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren.
