Lanny Ross Blackburn, 71, a resident of Fitzpatrick, Ala., died at his home on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013. Graveside services will be held on Friday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. at Providence Cemetery in Georgiana, Ala., with Rev. Michael B. Rock Smith, Chaplain of Comfort Care Hospice, officiating and Gray Funeral Home directing. He was preceded in death by his parents Stephen and Ruth Blackburn. He is survived by two brothers, Nelson (Shirley) Blackburn of Greenville, Ala., and Winston (Dian) Blackburn of Ft. Deposit, Ala.; sister, Twynette Raysin of Fitzpatrick, Ala.; numerous nieces and nephews.
