Alabama funeral home operators Don Daniels and Damon Daniels will lead the renewal of Sunrise Memorial Park in Greenville.
On Jan. 19, Don Daniels and Damon Daniels, principals of BraDal, LLC, acquired Sunrise Memorial Park.
The Circuit Court of Butler County placed the cemetery into Receivership in August 2007. While the cemetery was in Receivership, the Daniels’ managed the day-to-day operation of the cemetery for the Alabama Department of Insurance.
Don Daniels, who co-owns Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home, has more than 44 years of experience in the funeral home business.
Don, along with his son, Damon, is also involved in the ownership and operation of two other funeral homes located in Columbiana and Calera, Ala.
Damon Daniels has grown up in the funeral home and cemetery business, learning about the business from his parents.
“The cemetery is open for business,” said Don Daniels. “We welcome everyone in the community to come out and visit the cemetery. We encourage everyone who has interment rights at Sunrise Memorial Park to stop by our office and get a copy of the rules and regulations that will be strictly enforced. Damon and I are available by appointment only, during normal business hours to personally meet or talk with anyone in the community who has questions or concerns regarding Sunrise Memorial Park.”
The office of Sunrise Memorial Park will be kept at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home, located at 812 W. Commerce St., and can be reached at 334-382-2667.
