Army Staff Sgt. Jerel M. Longmire has arrived for duty as a recruiter assigned to the Greenwood Recruiting Station at Baton Rouge Battalion, Miss.

Longmire has served in the military for 10 years.

He is the son of Vandora Jones and Daniel Longmire of Southpark Street, both of Greenville, Ala.

Longmire graduated in 2001 from Greenville High School, Ala.
