Ira E. Thompson, 96, a resident of Greenville died Friday, Dec. 7,2012, at his residence. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 10, 2012. Rev. Burney Enzor and Robert Johnson officiated. Interment followed in the Antioch East Baptist Church Cemetery with Harrison Funeral Home directing. Survivors include: son, Robert (Jeanette) Thompson, Greenville; three grandchildren, Michael (Kim) Thompson, Elgin, S.C., Gayle Kirby, Greenville, and Leigh Duke, Dothan, Ala.; great-grandchildren, Ryan (Kat) Thompson, Ohio, Erin Thompson, Rock Hill, S.C., Briar Kirby, Greenville, and McKinna Duke, Dothan, Ala. Pallbearers were Wayne Dunn, Burl Atwell, Bill Hawthorn, Wayne Henderson, Robert Johnson and Briar Thompson. Honorary pallbearers were Wiley Duncan and Fred Harrison.
