Bessie Raye Butler, age 86, a resident of Greenville, Ala., died on Sunday, October 28, 2012.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at First Baptist Church Greenville with Dr. Tim Patton and Dr. Paul McLendon officiating.  Mrs. Butler will lie in state from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.  Burial will follow in Shackleville Cemetery with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.  Mrs. Butler is preceded in death by her parents, W. Jack and Lizzie Saucer Bodiford, husband of 67 years, Cavit Butler and 11 brothers and sisters.  She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Flowers and Charlotte Blasingame (David) of Greenville, Ala.; two sons, Roy Anthony “Tony” Butler (Debi) of Clinton, S.C.; Clarence Cavit “Charlie” Butler, II of Crowley, La.; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren;  several nieces and nephews.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Home of Grace for Women, 394 Aldock Rd.
