Mrs. Mary Magdalene Stinson Godwin, 101, a resident of Greenville, Ala., died Saturday October 13, 2012. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 16, 2012, in the chapel of Harrison Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow in Awin Baptist Church Cemetery with Harrison Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Godwin is surived by five children, Betty Irene Godwin Murchison, Awin, Ala.; Henry Sebastion Godwin and wife Katheryn of Pace, Fla.; Harold Leo Godwin and wife Pamela, Sylacauga, Ala.; Peggy Ann Godwin Nall and husband Leonard, Lowndesboro, Ala.; W.S. Godwin and wife Rebecca, Greenville, Ala. One daughter-in-law, Caroln Godwin, Awin, Ala.; 23 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Godwin, son, James Edward Godwin, son-in-law, George Ray Murchison and granddaughter, Debra Jean Kizziah. In leiu of flowers, donations may be made to the Awin Baptist Church. Her grandsons were the pallbears.
