Sylvester Thomas, 67, of Highland Home, Ala., died on Wednesday, October 10, 2012.  The family will receive friends at New Ebenezer Baptist Church of Highland Home, Ala., on Friday October 12, 2012, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.  Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. at the church following the visitation with Rev. Jason Beiler officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.  Burial will follow in the church’s cemetery. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife Judy Owens Thomas and parents Theo and Exa Thomas. He is survived by his children:  Veronica Jill (Trent) Brown of Highland Home, Ala., Jay Thomas of Opp, Ala., James Kendrick (Jennifer) Thomas of Millbrook, Ala., Jennifer (Darrell) Morris of Highland Home, Ala., Shaun Randall (Alana) Owens of Ft. Meyers, Fla., Veronica Faye Owens of Highland Home, Ala., and 11 grandchildren.
