McKenzie, Georgiana look to snap losing skids

McKenzie School will face its toughest test of the season Friday night.

The Tigers, who are in the midst of a three-game losing skid, will welcome No. 3 Brantley High School to town.

The Bulldogs are 6-0 on the season and are averaging 50.7 points per game, while holding their opponents to an average of 4.3 points per game. Brantley owns three shutouts this season, and has yet to yield more than 12 points in a game.

McKenzie (2-4, 2-2 Class 1A, Region 2) and Brantley will face off at 7 p.m. at Williams-Vickery Field.

Like McKenzie, Georgiana is looking to snap a losing skid of its own. The Panthers, who are winless this season, will face Red Level High School on Friday.

Red Level is also searching for its first win of the season.

The Panthers (0-6, 0-4 Class 1A, Region 2) and the Tigers will face off at 7 p.m. at Crystal Spring Park.
