Councilman thankful for support of citizensPublished 4:15pm Tuesday, August 21, 2012
Dear citizens of District 3,
I have been honored to serve as your City Council member for the past two terms, and your support and trust have been appreciated. Thank you for the opportunity to serve another term in this position.
My pledge, as always, is to work with Mayor McLendon and the Council to be good stewards of your tax money, and to also look at our future with a progressive eye. It is important that we seek improvements in infrastructure and city planning when recruiting industrial and commercial businesses.
There is also a need to appeal to our citizens. While we enjoy great opportunities in Greenville, we must also be aware of issues within our own workforce. Even if a person enters the workforce in a low-paying position, with a good work record that person will soon have other opportunities arise and can improve his standard of living. Parents, insist that your children are serious about learning in school, and are respectful to teachers, as well as to other adults and other students.
Together, we can make Greenville an even better place to live in the years to come. Thank you again for the opportunity to serve our city.
