BCFFWLC collecting school supplies

Dear Editor,

The Butler County Farmers Federation Women’s Leadership Committee (BCFFWLC) is collecting school supplies and nursing supplies for the upcoming school year. Our group decided that we wanted to do this to help teachers and nurses with supplies they need to help teach and take care of students. Many times, some kids may not have the supplies they need and this will help the teachers be able to furnish some of the supplies without having to take it out of their own pocket. This is our first year of doing this and with having some school nurses in our group, they thought it would be good to also collect nursing supplies to help make their job a little easier. With budgets being tight, this is just a small way that we can all help out. A collection box has been set up and the ALFA Office at 480 Greenville Bypass. Supplies will be collected through the end of August and we ask everyone to pick up an item or two and drop them by. This will be a tremendous help to the teachers, nurses and most importantly, the students. The supplies collected will be distributed to all public schools within the county.
