Sporting clay shoot to raise funds for youth hunts

Men and women 16 and older will get the chance to compete in an Alabama-Auburn sporting clay shoot Aug. 6.

The charity event will be held at the Lower Wetumpka Shotgun Sports Club on 4758 Lower Wetumpka Road, Montgomery, Ala., and will kick off at 9 a.m.

Prizes will be raffled off and include a lifetime hunting license, guns and gear. The winning team will be awarded a tailgate party at their university of choice for the first home football game.

Pre-registration includes sporting clays, shells, lunch and a T-shirt, and costs $65. Day-of registration will also be $65, but will not include lunch or a T-shirt.

All donations are tax deductable, and donations over $100 will allow one to personally reprsent his or her business at no additional cost.
